Weekend and mashed potato

Weekend! Most tiring days.

My sister bought some clam, white clam and I have never cooked it before. My mom said it was very easy to cook, just stir-fry the clam with green chillies and some onions, tomato and ginger. All chopped. 

So, today I tried to cook it. The results??? Failed. And sorry, I had no appetite to take picture of it. 

Btw, last week I tried to cook mashed potato. And here is the results:

Really easy to make. Here’s how:

1. Boil the potatoes with salt and some pepper. 

2. After it was really soft, grind it with your chopper or by hand mixer. Just for a half minute. Or if you do it by hand, mashed it until all the potatoes are soft. 

3. Heat 2/3 table spoon of butter and then stir fry some chopped garlic, pour some hot milk into the pan and mix it well. 

4. Add all the ingredients into the mashed potato, stir and mix it. Add a little bit of salt and pepper, mix it again. After that, add some chopped parsley. 

Serve the mashed potato with your steak or fried chicken is recommended also!!

Now, my families are asking me when will I cook this mashed potato again. And I’m gonna wait until they beg for it. Hihi. 😉

How It’s Made Tofu Soup

Kemarin sempat absen nulis satu hari, gara-gara kebanyakan nonton video Youtube “How It’s Made” by Discovery Channel. And I know a lot now. How It’s Made itu menceritakan bagaimana satu proses produk yang dibuat secara mass, seperti lilin, bubble gum, potato chips, neon lights, ice cream cone, possibly anything you want to know of. Educative dan entertaining video.

Btw, hari ini aku masak sop tahu. Karena di rumah yang ada cuma tempe dan tahu, dan si mama suka makan yang berkuah-kuah, jadi aku adakan saja sop tahu. Walaupun awalnya sok-sok tahu, tapi setelah searching di internet ketemu resep yang simple-simple aja dan bisa dimodifikasi sedikit.

Supaya nanti aku bisa ingat-ingat resep nya lagi, sekalian aja aku posting di sini untuk resepnya. So, here’s How It’s Made Sop Tahu by me.

Bahan-bahan:

1. Tahu (cuma 3 potong)
2. Wortel
3. Cabe merah
4. Bawang putih (ditumis dulu)
5. Daun sop
6. Air
7. Garam
8. Merica
9. Royco Ayam
Kalau mau ditambah daun sawi atau daun bayam, dan kebetulan aku gak suka dua-duanya dan stock dirumah juga gak ada, jadi we’ll skip that.

Caranya:
1. Rebus air, masukkan bawang putih yang udah ditumis
2. Setelah airnya udah agak mendidih, masukkan tahu dan wortel.
3. Masukkan garam, merica dan royco ayam sesuai selera, aduk sedikit dan biarkan mendidih.
4. Apabila kuahnya masih bening, tutup rebusannya kira-kira 10 menit.
5. Jangan lupa dirasa, apabila kurang, tambahkan lagi garam/royco nya.
6. Lalu biarkan sebentar, boleh ditutup lagi sampai airnya agak memutih.
7. Masukkan cabe dan daun sop
8. Panasin sebentar lagi, lalu hidangkan.
